Finding the Perfect Fit

Reimagining the Home’s Windows

A homeowner residing in a charming 1940-built home found themselves dealing with a host of window issues, impacting both comfort and safety. Their original windows, dating back to the 1940-1950s, were not only inefficient but also difficult to operate, leading to frustration and energy loss.

The homeowner reached out to Actuate Improvement to address multiple concerns, including water leaking, heat loss during winter, and air leaks in the summer. Overall, the existing trim around the windows was rotting and needed to be replaced. Then there were problems both big and small. One window in specific required protective film due to safety concerns, while another large bay window in the back needed significant structural changes, including the removal and replacement with a new picture window that would align with the updated siding and framing.

Understanding the Vision

A Comprehensive Planning Approach

Taking into consideration the budget, style of the house, their vision of the spaces, and concern for resale value, we put together a budgetary proposal for these homeowners that brought all these aspects together.

Throughout the design process, clients met with one of Actuate’s designers to articulate their needs and expectations clearly, benefitting from a carefully laid-out plan using the Buildertrend program. This platform allowed the homeowner to track the project and visualize their renovated spaces before any work commenced.
